'My houseplants always know when Spring has arrived'
Inspired by life in a two-up/down ‘passif’, airless new-build house… with its very own micro-climate that pays no heed to weather, climate or seasonal shift…
…and all the while, the sages that are my houseplants somehow still KNOW.
Somehow, despite being cosseted in a year-round, ambient temperature… they are always the first, early signifiers of Spring’s arrival.
An obvious, metronomic part of the natural order and way of the living world… and yet, every year my mind is still blown afresh.
*
The ‘details’:
Acrylic and Posca pen on 250gsm ‘posh’ paper with a lovely cross-hatch weave.
The original is A1.
Available as fine art giclée prints in sizes: A4, A3, A2 and A1.
Unframed.
